Working in a Workspace
Working together
Verified against Soffi ·
A Workspace is meant to be worked in together. A designer and a PM can be in the same one at the same time, with an engineer dropping in to look, and everyone sees the same app, the same comments and the same conversation with Soffi. See Workspaces for how that fits with everyone else working in Workspaces of their own.
Who's here
The faces in the Preview's header are the people in this Workspace right now. Each person's cursor shows on the Preview with their name, so you can point at things the way you would at a shared screen. Press / to say something next to your cursor; it shows for a few seconds and then goes.
Following someone
Click a face to watch that person. Your view follows theirs: the page they're on in the Preview, where they've scrolled, the panel they have open, even the Ship dialog when they open it. While you're watching, the Workspace is theirs to drive, so your own editing is paused, though you can still comment.
A ring around a face tells you someone is being watched, and the person being watched sees who's following. Press Esc or click Stop watching to go back to where you were. If the person you're following leaves, Soffi tells you.
Your inbox
Hover the Workspace name in the Preview's header to open the workspace menu. It has the Workspace's details (contributors, Project, tickets and pull requests), the shortcut list, and your Inbox, with a count of what you haven't read.
The inbox collects comments and replies, mentions of you, and video comments. Admins also get access requests there, to approve or decline. Mark all as read clears the count, and Show resolved brings back threads that are done.
Sharing a Workspace
Share in the panel header shows who has access and lets you Copy link to the page you're on, so the person you send it to lands on the same screen. Access comes from your Organization's members and allowed email domains, managed in Manage members. See Invite your team.
Someone without access who opens the link is asked to Request access, and an Admin approves it from their inbox.
